Tattoo Aftercare

Proper aftercare is crucial for the healing and longevity of your new tattoo. I provide detailed instructions to ensure that your tattoo heals beautifully. Additionally, I am always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have during the healing process.

Tattoo healing represents 80% of the success of the tattoo and for it to have strong colors and a beautiful appearance, carefully follow the instructions.

Tattoo care

Steps to take into account when healing your tattoo. In the studio, you wore a plastic patch which you will leave on for 24 hours.Normally, this plastic is filled with ink that comes out of the tattoo (it depends a lot on each person's skin type). On the contrary, if the patch does not have ink, blood, or water inside, you can leave it on longer than 24 hours. If the membrane fills with ink, bood, water or falls off on its own:

1 -You must remove the plastic membrane completely

2 -Wash with non-scented antibacterial soap

3 -Dry the tattoo very well with a paper towel or a clean towel (make sure you do it gently)

4 -Apply the new membrane that was given to you at the studioThe tattoo should be left with the plastic membrane (the second membrane) for 5 consecutive days. (6 days total between the first and the second membrane)The patch is designed so that you can shower and that no water enters, you can bathe normally. Always check that the patch has no water inside, if the patch was correctly applied, no water should get inside. In the healing prosses all tattoos are going to itch, it is normal but there are cases where you can have an allergic reaction to the plastic membrane. In case you have an allergic reaction to it; the area around the plastic membrane is going to be red and itchy (not the actual tattoo). Make sure you take it off, wash it gently with non-scented antibacterial soup, and follow the instructions on how to heal the tattoo without the plastic membrane.

How to heal the tattoo without the plastic membrane:

1 -Wash your tattoo 3 times a day the first week (bathing count as 1)

2 -In the second week you only need to wash your tattoo 2 times a day (bathing counts as 1)

3 -In the following weeks just 1 is enough (bathing count as 1)

4 -APPLY LOTION EVERY 4 HOURS EVERY DAY from day 1 until your tattoo is healed, (try to apply the recommended lotion by your tattoo artist) it is a MUST that you moisturize your tattoo.

5 -PLS UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD YOU LET YOUR PET COME IN CONTACT WITH YOUR TATTOO, your tattoo is an open wound and it could get infected like any other wound without proper care.

How do you place the patch?

1-You must remove half of the paper and stick it on the previously washed and dried skin carefully. 4

2-After sticking everything, you must look for the arrows or blue stripe and then remove that layer of plastic, ensuring that only the thin membrane is left on the skin.

3-NEVER stretch the edges of the plastic, this can generate tension on the skin for many hours, nothing is going to happen to the tattoo, but the stressed skin may have wounds or blisters generated by this.

4-You must stick the membrane gently with your fingertips. The membrane is a healing film designed to heal the tattoo and prevent rubbing, abrasion, and proliferation of bacteria. These cares are for 20 days:-Place ice on the tattoo or plastic patch for 5 minutes every day for a week, (be careful not to get ice burns), ice can help with healing and itching.-Do not receive direct sun on the tattoo-Do not get into swimming pools, rivers, sea, jacuzzi, or places with stagnant water-Use sunscreen after the second week of healing-Do not scratch: It may tear off pieces of the ink left from the tattoo and damage the tattoo-Do not remove scabs resulting from tattoo healing-After removing the plastic the first week, you must hydrate it with the cream (I will send thephoto) use it every 4 hours in thin layers.A tip for the rest of your life: always use sunscreen and body lotion once a day. If you do this you can extend the quality and intensityof the ink color for many more yearsIf you have any questions let me know!

Moisturiser

A helpful tip to remember for a lifetime is to apply moisturizing cream and sunscreen daily on the area of your tattoo. This will help maintain its quality and longevity.
